December. Home.
December is always warm for me. At least when I can go home. In ten plus years of working in the U.S. I have not once failed to go home to the West Indies in December. As Americanised as I am now I still relate more to the customs and traditions of the West Indies, but it is hard to be looked at as a foreigner in the place that I grew up.
December is always filled with cake making - a recipe first created by my grandmother Agnita Simmons neé Taylor and modified by my mother Hazel.
I also became a level one Reiki practitioner. I am lapsing on my daily self treatments....
